Leonor Antunes
In her work, Leonor Antunes explores the history of art, design and architecture. Migration and transformation of material and form are of as much interest to her as the artistic production process itself, the place of creation, but also the craftsmen and workshops involved in the production. Leonor Antunes was born in Lisbon in 1972. In 2019, she was a member of the Portuguese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Antunes lives and works in Berlin. Solo exhibitions have been held at the following galleries and museums, among others: Mudam, Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg (2020/21); MASP, São Paulo Museum of Art, Brazil (2019); Museo Tamayo, Mexico City, Mexico (2018); Hangar Bicocca, Milan, Italy (2018); Whitechapel Gallery, London (2017).
